Giovedi 14 maggio inizierà il nuovo tour mondiale degli U2 a Vancouver presso la Rogers Arena.
In queste ultime settimane vi abbiamo riportato tutte le notizie possibili su prove, stage e qualsiasi altro avvenimento in corso di svolgimento presso il Pacific Coliseum, location dove da circa due settimane la band irlandese sta provando (Vedi News).
Dopo che la band ad inizio settimana è stata a New York per il 'The Tonight Show' con registrazione dello show e la successiva live performance presso la Grand Central (Vedi News), gli U2 sono tornati a Vancouver per nuove prove.

Nella giornata di martedì sembra siano state provate nuove canzoni, come 'The Ground Beneath her Feet', suonata pochissime volte dalla band in acustico come a Sanremo nel 2000, poi è stata la volta di 'Tryin' To Throw Your Arms Around The World', una delle canzoni cardine dello ZooTv Tour ed è stata provata anche una nuova versione acustica di 'The Fly' (mai suonata/poche volte dal vivo in acustico) e anche di 'No Line on The Horizon', suonata invece in acustico ad Helsinki nel 2010.

Invece vi riportiamo un probabile set iniziale del concerto che è stato provato più volte dalla band:

Nella giornata di mercoledì invece sembra che sia stato oggetto di prova da parte della band altre nuove canzoni, come 'The Sweetest Thing' eseguita con The Edge con chitarra acustica e al piano, e sempre in acustico 'The Hands that Built America', eseguita da Bono e The Edge.
Come canzoni d'apertura invece sembra siano state provate due tipologie di canzoni come 'The Miracle of Joey Ramone' e 'Invisible', mentre come sequenza finale degli encores sono state provate 'One/With Or Without You/Ordinary Love'.
Mentre sono state provate più di una volta 'Bullet the Blue Sky', 'Every Breaking Wave', 'Sunday Bloody Sunday' e sopratutto la sequenza da 'Miracle Drug' a 'Where the Streets Have no Name'.

It's time for more news from Vancouver. U2FanPeter has checked in on Interference with another update, which is summarised below. It looks like U2 are now practicing the core of a setlist, with rarities and rotational slots to be inserted and determined later.

Peter notes that Sunday Bloody Sunday has some audio samples, including from political speeches and of a bomb blast. Mysterious Ways again had a bongo intro. The rant as heard in previous audio clips of Bullet The Blue Sky remains. Miracle Drug still has a pre-recorded spoken word intro.

Incidentally, U2 can now move from the Pacific Coliseum to the Rogers Arena. Neil Diamond held a concert there on 7 May, and once his staging is fully loaded out, it's free for U2 to use.
